Hello, I’m Carlos ↗ I work on digital products and on the decisions that make them possible.
Before opening the editor, understand the problem.
I am interested in the questions worth answering first. Then, in turning the answers into software that works for people and for the teams that maintain it.
I genuinely enjoy building spaces where growth is a direct consequence, rather than an objective. Spaces where the answer sometimes has nothing to do with technical components, but with difficult conversations. Once you have them, everything becomes clearer.
I also give talks to share what I learn and, when it fits, teach specialised training.
Talks about software, product and teams.
I share what I learn building products and working with teams. At conferences, in communities, and in the conversations that follow.
- "A great developer nobody wants to work with is a bad senior developer"
The Senior Journey
Being senior is not about years or the most elaborate code. It is about helping a team work better because you are there.
- "Don't waste time and money you don't have"
Problem validation
Before designing a solution, make sure there is a problem someone genuinely needs solved.
Tell me a story, and don’t be boring
A practical talk on turning a pitch into a story people can follow, remember and act on.
Shall we continue?
If you have an interesting problem, perhaps we could work together.
If you’d like me to bring some of these ideas to a stage or to your team, that works too.
And if you’d just like to keep reading, I occasionally write (in Spanish) about the things on my mind. Sometimes technology. Mostly life. I also recommend beers.
