I am most interested in small teams with ambitious problems and room to make a real difference. I work across product engineering, product thinking, and technical leadership: understanding the problem, making the important decisions, and helping a team turn them into software that lasts.
I enjoy JavaScript on both the frontend and backend, but the technology is there to serve the product. My work has included improving performance, operating at scale, and collaborating with teams at companies such as Google and Fever.
Teaching and speaking
Teaching and public speaking are a meaningful part of my work, not a side project. More than 20,000 students have taken my online courses, and I bring that same care for clarity, rhythm, and practical detail to every session.
